MedPlacer Executive Search has been retained by The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY to conduct a search for an accomplished Nursing Leadership professional to serves as department head for the Emergency Department at The Medical Center (Bowling Green) (MCBG). This leader will be responsible for the 24 hour operation and for all planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and communication needs of a new state of the art, 24 bed ED that sees approximately 40,000 annual visits.

Bedside registration

Dedicated chest pain and orthopedic rooms

Onsite radiology and lab services

Pediatric-friendly treatment rooms

Reports to: Executive Vice President/CNO

Positions Supervised: 72 FTE’s - Charge Nurses, RNs, LPNs, Monitor Techs, Unit Clerk, N.A.’s, Emergency Room Technicians

Requirements:

2 years experience as a Manager or Director in a similar size and scope environment with demonstrated leadership skills.

Education and Training:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Master’s degree preferred.
